Mens night was a BLAST!!

OK here is the much anticipated men's night update!! Sorry Mermaid for delaying this working 2 jobs is really starting to wear thin! I'm am considering taking a short leave of absence from Home depot until October because the Golf course is way more profitable for me!! =)

Men's night was a Blast!! Clouds started to roll in right around 3:00 so I was a little nervous, however no rain came with them and the SUN did end up shinning by the time it got really busy!
It was still cold but I didn't mind I was working my butt off! (sorta) The Music guys was rockin!! He made me earn my 20.00 tip though
It was just busy enough that I didn't freak one! On of the girls I work with had a little bit of an anxiety attack but she recovered quickly! I was a little surprised because she had served last summer there and always seems to be so confident!! Shes young so I guess it was just a little over whelming! She ended up with a HUGE table of dudes which would not have been easy!
My biggest table was 5 ....then I had 2 groups of 4 that joined u together!
I was smart last night and made sure I asked if they wanted separate bills or not! That seemed to make it easier!
I'm sad to report that the Hottie's where slim pickings but there was a few and the best thing about Men's night is it is EVERY Thursday ALL summer long! So although not many to pick from the ones that where there I get to see every week!! hurray!!
I LOVE MY JOB!! No pics though sorry guys! I was too busy for that.
I will try in future weeks! I did make 50 bucks in tips not bad a bad night!!!
I've never made tips before so this is all new!! Super Exciting too!!!
Its only going to get better as the season goes on!! I cant wait til its full out SUMMER!!

Tonights its all about the MEN!!

Tonight is our season kick off for our Men Night Special at the golf course!
I've had the pleasure of being transferred over to serving at the restaurant instead of counter girl! Pay per hour is a little bit less but the tips you can potentially make compensates!! I have never worked as a server before so I am super excited to be given the opportunity!! Ive had 2 shifts already in preparation for tonight's Men's Night 8 dollar jugs of draft, its gonna be a busy night!! Last night was the Ladies night Kick off it went well not as busy as they anticipated it to be but the weather was crappy yesterday and so that was kinda to be expected!
Tonight will be 1000 times better!! The sun is Shinning away, there is NO hockey!
And apparently 8 bucks a jug is a stellar price so I don't know to many men that would pass up that kind of bargain!! Specially ones who like draft!! Bonus part! Live music! Last night was awesome I was working and rockin out all night! Good times!! This job is almost to good to be true! sometimes I feel a little bit guilty getting payed! But only a little bit! I do work hard so I'm not totally guilty! Ive been a little nervous about serving just because its all new to me! I'm so happy my bosses have huge faith in me and are willing to take a risk!
Everyone told me I did Great last night!! I went home feeling very good about my job!!
I'm going to sneak my camera in and try to grab some Eye Candy Pics for my dear friend Kai!
No promises though from what Ive heard rumours that its mostly old guys that come out!
I'm praying it's just a rumour!! There are a few regular Hotties that come out to golf, and they look the kind of guys that would enjoy 8 buck jugs!!
Stayed tuned for MENS NIGHT update!!

HOLY SMOKES!!

Well Hello there!! Its been awhile I know and for that I am am deeply sorry!! Since I started working 2 weeks ago my life has gone from slow and easy to HOLY CRAP and NUTTY over night!!
Quick job up-date....Friday I worked home depot 8am-5pm I a few computer seminars to finish up, but was quickly aborted from that before even getting started which was just fine with me!!!
Instead I got to go out into the Garden Centre to unpack stock, its time to start opening!!
So I'm motoring right along unloading plastic flower planters, I'm an hour and a half into my shift when I get to a skid of poorly packed Cast Iron Urn style planters, I begin unloading them! They are heavy little suckers!!
Anyways one started to fall when I grabbed another one from the skid and me being dumb in an attempt to save the product decided to try and catch it with my one hand, it didn't quite work out as planned and instead of catching it...it caught my pinkie finger and crushed it between the urn underneath i on the skid! I had gloves on thankfully! i think they are what saved me! I immediately began to jog inside (i don't run well! its the boobs!) I went to the girls at the front cash and was like "I need some help" my finger was bleeding pretty good from the impact and it was super swollen! They rushed me to the First Aid room...the first aid dude came and checked me out, it was hard to tell if it was broken it hurt but not real bad i could wiggle it but not bend it but I think that's just because it was so swollen. Anyways he attempted to bandage me up, (they didn't really have what he needed in the room) and then I call ed my old man and had him drop me off at the hospital! I checked into Emerg, it wasn't long before the HOT doctor came to check it out, he sent me for XRays just to make sure it wasn't broken , the Xray guy was super nice, but no nearly as HOT as the doc!! WOW I wanted to ask him for his number! He had a sexy accent!! yummy!! ~~oops back to earth sorry!! Xrays came back not Broken THANK GOD!!!!
3 days later its actually not to bad! I worked all weekend and was OK....kept banging it on the pop cooler but its all good!! I was done and out of the hospital and home before noon!! I got payed for me full shift and only had to work and hour and a half not bad!! Wish I didn't have to hurt myself to do that though!! Not exactly how I wanted to be know around the Home Depot but oh well! Worse things I could be know for I guess!! Actually it was funny because prior to my injury I ran into the store Manager who took pride in telling me that every associate that has had a chance to meet me or work with me has thought I'm just wonderful and she thanked me for being so great!! I wish my significant other thought I was as wonderful as both my new employers!! Seems he's not so happy with me these days and that sucks!! When you only get a few hours together you don't want to spend them pissed at each other!!
Well guys I have million more things I could say but I worked 10-2 at Home Depot then 2-9 at the golf course I'm EXHAUSTED!!! I just don't have it in me to finish tonight! Its 11:30pm and I have to work at 8AM!! YIKES!! The black circles under my eyes keep getting larger and darker!
I'm making tons of money so I guess I'll just invest in some really good eye cream!! lol!
Any recommendations??
I made almost 20 bucks in tips so I'm going to bed with a nice big smile on my face!!

Corprate VS Non Corprate

Well I just underwent the most grueling 32 hours of training EVER!!! But that's Corporate employers for you!! AS you know from my last few post I recently took a part time position at the well know Home Depot....My first shifts where Sat & Sun 8am-5pm this is what they called orientation (most companies have these for new hires so that was all well and good) 16 hours of having policies and procedures barfed at you was a little much!! After orientation you must complete several Web based training sessions on the computer independently...My first computer shift was Monday morning at 8am (BTW i am not enjoying this 8am working thing!! i can not get to bed early enough not to be dead the next day! i tried hard all weekend!) I may have been OK had I not had to be up at 6:30 all weekend. By Monday my eyes hurt just to open them! I plowed through my computer training doing my best not to fall asleep!! That was HARD!!! I couldn't tell you exactly what I learned in my sessions but I did Ace every post test I had to do!! Yesterday was my nuttiest day so far! I was in training from 8am-1pm then I worked at the golf course from 3-9. I have concluded that Home Depot is my job and the golf course is a cool place I get to hang out and get payed!! I love it there!!
My bosses are AMAZING!! They love me already! Its so nice to be LOVED especially by the people who sign your pay check!!
My shift at the course last night rocked!! The weather was kinda questionable and that tends to slow golf business down a little! In between the odd person that did show up, I occupied my time by doing Manican Make overs!! I think its nice to change up your display once a week so that people can see your different products! My manicans looked GREAT!! The owner gave me 2 thumbs up!! It's going to be a GREAT SUMMER!!!!

DOUBLE WORKING GIRL!!

Well I have been working at the golf course for a week now and I must say I LOVE MY JOB!!
It gets crazy busy at times but I enjoy the madness for the most part.

I had an interview at the Home Depot last Friday for a part time Seasonal Department Position, The pay is not quite what I thought it would be so I wasn't too sure I wanted the job. Anyways long story short they called me in for a second interview with the store manager.... She offered me the job so I took it!!

I will now be working at the Golf Course in the evening, and the Home depot in the morning.
I don't think I will see my family until October but its all good cause I'll have tons of money for them!! HURRAY!!!

I start the Home Depot on Sat. not to keen on the steal toe shoe thing but I'll suck it up, I get to wear jeans to work and that's super cool!!
I'm hoping that come October when I'm done the golf course, Home Depot might have a full time position for me!! I'll keep you posted!

Working 60 hours a week may not leave much time for blogging but I will do my best!!

Job Update

I am hoping that no one read my post from last night! I read it tonight and it was pretty bad! I'm surprised I managed to find the spell check!! Hence why it no longer exisits!! Drunk Blogging is probibly not a good idea!
I learned a very tough life lesson last night........Vodka appears to be all friendly and smooth in the heat of the moment...turns out @ 4am it really is not your friend at all!! This is not cool when you have to be at work at 10am!! I am such a LOSER!!
Well I managed to stop rejecting the booze I consumed just in time to get ready and go to work! I spend most of the morning in the shower (its my favorite place when I'm sick!) I was ahead of the game there, just had to get dressed, throw my hair in a pony, slap an Lil make up on and presto chango I'm good to go!!
Work was NUTTY!!!! I was the only counter girl on until after 11 cause the girl at 11 was late!
Lets keep in mind here I had only worked 2 non busy training shifts so I was super nervous about being on my own! This is why getting wasted the night before maybe wasn't the best idea on my part.
I managed to survive the day with minimal mistakes!! I swear 70% of Cranbrook was out golfing today @ my golf course!! I'm back at it tomorrow for the closing shift and I can't wait!
I know that the job will only get easier the more I work! Its a lot of fun and I'm super stoked to be spending my summer there! If I have to spend my summer working anywhere I think a golf course is a pretty cool place!!
p.s: **Kai... TONS of EYE Candy today!!! I'm just sad I was so busy I couldn't enjoy it once they left my counter!!! =)

REMEMBER no matter how TEMPTING .....VODKA IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!!!

YIPEE I got a JOB!!

Job Update!! I applied for an office position a while back @ Clarica you may remember me writing about, Well I received my Sorry you didn't get the job letter,We will keep your resume on file for future blah blah blah this past Friday. I was a little sad when I opened it. Yes I cried but I knew before the letter came that I didn't get the job so I only shed a few tears! I'm not sure exactly why I cried I wasn't really sad, but the show must go on!!
Yesterday I decided to pound the pavement and find a job.
The paper here is constantly flooded with help wanted ads there definitely is no shortage of work in my little town, so I used the classified's as my map.
I Started my hunt @ Canadian Tire, they had an enormous ad hiring IMMEDIATELY!
I worked @ Crappy Tire for a short while in Ontario so I figured it would be a great place to start already am sorta familiar with things.
My visit there didn't quite go how I had envisioned it but all things happen for a reason.
I left my resume there and still have yet to hear from someone. You snooze you loose!
I carried on my search and applied at the Triple O Drive -Thru its a gas station restaurant type place not really my ideal job but if all else failed it would do! I had a mini interview on the spot with the manager so that was cool.
Not satisfied with my progress I headed out to one of the local golf courses that had an ad for Reception/Pro shop & Servers. I don't have any directly related experience but I'm a smart friendly girl I can figure it out! I met with the owner we went over my availability, what job I wanted to do, counter or server. I said I would do both Ive never been a server but I'm willing to learn!! She said she had to figure some scheduling stuff out and and that she'd be in touch.

On the way back in to town I stopped at Home Depot I wasn't sure if they where hiring or not but I figured it wouldn't hurt to put in a resume just in case!

And then almost right beside Home Depot is a little Plaza with Walmart, Payless, and the NEWEST edition to the gang our very own LA SENZA (if your female I'm sure your very familiar with this store!!! Its one of my Favorites next to Wally!) I had heard rumour that we would be getting one but I had no idea that it was here & open already!! I stopped in to see if they where hiring and of course they where! I filled out an application on the spot.

Let me tell you after all that running around being friendly, I was EXHAUSTED!!!
Just looking for a job is hard work!! I figured 5 resumes out was a good start so I went home and had a nap with my daughter on the couch!

Well ALL that HARD work payed off. This morning once I figured out the ringer was turned off on the phone the call backs began flooding in!! Thankfully I had only missed one call it was from the Home Depot!
***Note to self in the future when looking for a job make sure your phone is on so you can hear it to answer the calls when they come in!!

I played telephone tag with the Home Depot Human resources lady all day.

In the mean time I received calls from the Golf Course and La Senza and set up interviews for this afternoon.

The Golf course was first, Its full time Seasonal but its all good gives me all summer to find a good full time winter job!! I had my interview and the lady offered me the job right there on the spot I couldn't say NO!! So I am now a counter girl @ Mission Hills Golf Course!! Whoohoo!! I'm soo excited. I start tomorrow!! I will be trained as a server as well just so I can fill in when needed I like to know more than one job at a time makes you more valuable as an employee!!

Next was La Senza, my interview went awesome! I owned it! She loved me! It only pays 8.50/hr though and that's a little less then I was hoping to make plus its only part time:(

She called me back tonight and left a message (oops the ringer was off on the phone again! gotta stop doing that!) I got the job and she wants me to start tomorrow @ 11:00... super hard to do when I start @ the golf course tomorrow @ 10:00. I get the pleasure of phoning in the morning and regretfully declining the position. (I hate that kinda stuff!!)

After my interview at La Senza I tried calling the Home Depot lady again, after holding for way to long I finally got through and was able to speak to her!! She wanted to know if I would be interested in a job in their Seasonal Department. AS in the garden centre and selling lawn mowers ect. I told her YES I would LOVE a job in the Seasonal department so I have an interview there on Friday @ 12:30. Sweet! Its only part time but could lead to full time say around maybe October when my other one closes for the season?? lol
We will see what they are offering on Friday when I go. I hear they are paying wicked wages!

I also got a call from the Triple O manager saying he wanted to hire me. I had to tell him I got work somewhere else! that sucked!

HOLY SMOKES!!! I had 3 job offers in 1 day plus another interview on Friday!
I'm overwhelmed!! I just hope I took the right one!! I'm sure I did, of all the places it was the best suited for me!! Its only seasonal but its a place you can go back to season after season!
My sugar daddy will LOVE it as he LOVES to golf!! I'm excited because I like to golf as well but I'm not very good and my man does not have the patience to teach me!! He is also left handed and I'm right so it makes it kinda challenging for him. We have golfed together a few times well attempted to anyways years ago. I remember the last time @ around the 3rd hole swearing at him and making him promise never to take me golfing again!! That was a long time ago I have grown up a lot since then.I am looking forward to the opportunity to learn how to properly play this nice relaxing sport!! I'm also hoping to kiss ass with the golf pro there and score some free golf lessons!!=)

La Senza sounded fun with the 25% discount and all, right up until I found out I would have to do Bra Fittings on woman, 8.50/hr is NOT enough money to have to fit woman for Bras!!! Unless your a man then they would probably work for free!!
I don't know that as a customer I would be all to comfortable with a woman fitting me for a bra. I obviously have never had such a thing done before. Maybe as a company they should consider training up some Hunky MALE Bra fitters!! Betcha sales jump through the roof!!!
Every lonely lady for a thousand miles would come for her free feel I mean bra fitting!! lol

Life Lesson's learned this week......

If at first you dont succeed Try Try again!!
When applying for employment in a customer service based field it pays to be peppy!
(its probibly the only time it wont get you beat up!)
Determination is a great motivator!

Life Question of the week!

** If I can get 3 jobs in 1 day why are so many able bodied Canadians sitting at home collecting welfare?? And why does our Government continue to allow them to sponge off the system and live off our hard earned tax dollars??

HURRAY...NEW WHEELS!!!

So our old car finally had enough, I think the drive from Hamilton Ontario to Cranbrook B.C last summer combined with the multiple trips up and down Panorama Mountain very day for 2 months put a huge strain on it, after all it was only a little golf cart with doors!! lol no It was a Hyundai Accent and all and all I can't really complain to much about it!! Anything is better than walking!
WE are now the PROUD owners of this SWEET little mini van!! Its no BMW but til the kids are teenagers it will do!! Its nice just to have a car that can go past the corner store!! WHOOHOO!!
I AM IN LOVE WITH DRIVING NOW!! I cant stand to sit at home anymore I just want to be our CRUISING!! It can hold 8 people so there is plenty of room for the 4 of us!!
Camping this summer is definitely on for this summer and I cant wait!! The vans big enough worse case I can fold the seats down and snooze in the back!! That's handy if you ever accidentally drink too much out @ the bar one night! Just have a little snoozaroo in the back til your sober enough to drive!!
ARRIVE ALIVE!! DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!

R.I.P in peace my little golf cart with doors! You served your purpose well!!
These B.C mountains have been hard on you I know but you sure toughed it out!! I cant say you'll be missed but we had some good times Ill always remember!! =)
